Although she has appeared in over 200 television shows and commercials and many films, Allison McKay is no stranger to local audiences either. She played Hannigan in Annie at the Cocoa Village playhouse, Maggie in Forty Second Street, and was She was Mother Superior in Nunsense at the Phoenix.
Her professional career spans theatre, television and film, but her main expertise - her knowledge of comedy - came from her association with virtually every name comic in the business. She worked with everyone from Red Skelton, Jerry Lewis, Milton Berle, Bob Hope, Paul Lynde, Bill Dana, Jim Nabors, to some we may have forgotten, like Jimmy Durante, Ben Blue, Bert Lahr, and Jonathan Winters. She recently completed a movie with Julie Harris called "The First of May" and performed six months in a soap opera called "Miami Sands" in a role that makes Joan Collins look like a Girl Scout. She will soon appear in an upcoming movie starring John Travolta called "Lonely Hearts."
